Golkar Targets Achieve 115 Seats In The DPR After Qualifying The Verification Of KPU Administration

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Ace Hasan Syadzily said his party was preparing to win the legislative and presidential elections with the target of winning 115 seats in the DPR RI after the General Election Commission of the Republic of Indonesia passed the administrative verification of political parties for candidates participating in the 2024 General Election. "Winning the legislative election, that is, we want to win 20 percent. We want the same as 115 seats in the DPR RI, currently we have 85 seats and of course we won the presidential election," Ace said after a press conference to prepare for the 58th anniversary of Golkar at the Golkar DPP Office, West Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday 15 October. He then replied, "As our general chairman spoke, Pak Airlangga Hartarto, that for the 2024 election later, we want to win". Ace also admitted that he was happy that Golkar was one of 18 political parties that passed the administrative verification of candidates for the 2024 General Election by the Indonesian KPU. "Of course we are grateful and we are ready for verification. The Golkar Party is ready to participate in elections in 2024 and later maybe the KPU will still have to verify the membership cards and other requirements," he said. The Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR RI also hopes that Golkar can win the 2024 Pilkada and can immediately consolidate the winning of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections and Pilkada. Ace also emphasized that his party supports the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, as a presidential candidate (candidate) as the result of the 2019 National Conference (Munas) decision. "But, the discussion, the determination of the declaration of the KIB (United Indonesia Coalition) presidential candidate, the vice presidential candidate will be later," he said. He said that so far the United Indonesia Coalition is still solid and open to joining other political parties into supporting its coalition.
