Missing Motorcycle Drivers Dried By The Ciamis Flood Flow, Found Non-Servoying In Tasikmalaya

JABAR - A motorcyclist who was lost in a flood in Cihaurbeuti, Ciamis, was found lifeless in Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java (West Java). The location of the discovery is tens of kilometers from the initial location missing.

Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the Ciamis Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Memet Hikmat, said the victim was on behalf of Endang Setiawan.

"The address is at Sukahening Village, Tasikmalaya Regency, the victim was swept away by the current of the Cibuyut River, Cihaurbeuti District on Friday (October 7)," Memet said in a written broadcast, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 13.

He said the victim was a motorcycle rider carried away by the overflowing flood of the Cibuyut River in Cihaurbeuti District. Joint officers searched for victims by walking along the river.

Joint officers operating to search, said Memet, received information on the discovery of the body by an angler in Leuwi Jurig, Cineam District, Tasikmalaya Regency, Wednesday, October 12 afternoon.

"After receiving this information, the search team from the Ciamis BPBD headed to the location and immediately informed the news to the Tasikmalaya BPBD and the Tasikmalaya Police, because the location of the body was in Cineam District, Tasikmalaya Regency," he said.

He conveyed that joint officers from the Ciamis Regency Government and the Police in Tasikmalaya Regency identified the bodies found on the riverbank.

Furthermore, the victim was evacuated to Dr. Soekarjo Tasikmalaya Hospital for further examination, finally the victim was identified and confirmed by the family that the body was based on the characteristics of a victim who was lost in the river current in Cihaurbeuti.

He said that after it was confirmed that the victim's body was dragged by the current, then the search operation for the victim was stopped, then handed over the victim's body to his family for burial.

"The Tasikmalaya Police handed over the body to the family to be buried at the funeral home," he said.
