JAKARTA - President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Didiek Hartantyo ensured that efforts to restore the sinking rail line on plots of Jeruklegi-Kawunganten road, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, continue.

Quoted from Antara, on Saturday night, Didiek was at KM 372+3/4 plots of Jeruklegi-Kawunganten road. According to him, his arrival at that place was in order to repair the railroad rail line due to subsidence and movement caused by waterways.

Didiek who was accompanied by the Director of Infrastructure Management Heru Kuswanto, Director of Facilities Management Eko Purwanto, and Director of Safety and Security John Robertho apologized for the incident that caused delays in the train journey that crossed the route.

"So far, we have worked hard together with all ranks to resolve this to restore this route so that it is normal," he said.

Currently, he said, the route can be passed with a speed limit of 5 kilometers per hour.

In addition, he said, there are three more points that have now been restored so that trains can be passed at a speed of 40 km/hour.

"We, the Indonesian Railways continue to be excited to resolve obstacles that arise due to this natural. Hopefully we can resolve it more quickly and restore it to normal again," said Didiek.

Heavy rain that occurred from Friday (7/10) afternoon to Saturday (8/10) caused the train lanes in the Jeruklegi-Kawunganten road to experience land subsidence or subside at several points, including at KM 367+6/7 and KM 372+400 and KM 392+8/7 on the Sikampuh-Maos road plot.

This condition had an impact on the journey of a number of southern Javanese trains that experienced delays due to being stuck at several stations.
