As A Result Of The Flood, 361 Refugees From 2 Regions In Jakarta Were Accommodated By BPBD DKI

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) accommodates 361 refugees in three South Jakarta locations and one in East Jakarta due to flooding.

"The DKI BPBD appeals to the public to remain careful and alert to the potential for inundation to occur," said Head of the DKI BPBD Data and Information Processing Unit Michael O. Sitanggang, quoting Antara, Wednesday, October 5.

The DKI BPBD detailed that South Jakarta refugees were in three locations, namely Mampang Prapatan Village as many as 20 families (KK) or 79 people at Al Falah Mosque.

Then in Kuningan Barat Village as many as 43 families or 175 people in the Multipurpose Room of West Kuningan Village and Pejaten Barat Village as many as 18 families or 78 people in Musholla Al Inayah and the houses of residents of RW 08. While in East Jakarta in Makasar Village as many as 6 families or 29 people at the Al Bahri Mosque.

Previously, Tuesday afternoon, October 4, heavy rains flushed Jakarta causing inundation and flooding in 81 neighborhood units (RT) from 30,470 RT in Jakarta.

The data on areas affected by the flood to a height of one meter include North Cipete Village in areas directly adjacent to Krukut River and Pela Mampang Village in areas directly adjacent to Krukut River and Mampang River.

Meanwhile, DKI BPBD noted that as of 06.00 WIB this Wednesday, out of 81 affected RTs, currently there are nine RTs left.

The distribution is in West Jakarta, namely one RT in South Kedoya Village with a height of 20 cm due to the overflow of the Pesanggrahan River.

Then, Kebon Jeruk Village has one RT with a water level of 40-80 cm as well as an overflow of the Pesanggrahan River due to high rainfall.

Furthermore, in East Jakarta, in Kebon Pala Village, there is one RT with a height of 60 cm due to the overflow of the Cipinang River.

Then Makasar Village as many as two RTs with a water level of 50 cm due to overflowing Cipinang River and one other RT in Rambutan Village with a water level of about 45 cm due to high rainfall.

In addition, in Central Jakarta there are three RTs in Bendungan Hilir Village with a water level of 20-40 cm due to the overflow of the Krukut River.

Meanwhile, as of 06.00 WIB, as many as 10 roads and a number of points in 26 urban villages in Jakarta which had been inundated, have now recededed.
