Officially Announce Anies Baswedan To Be President Of 2024, NasDem: Why Not The Best?

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party has officially announced Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate (Capres) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). The declaration was delivered at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta today, Monday, October 3.

"The choice of the NasDem presidential candidate is the best of the best. This is how nasdem finally gave a figure, Anies Baswedan," said the chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, in front of Anies Baswedan.

Paloh said Anies was the best figure. So, there is no reason for the NasDem Party not to nominate it.

"Why Anies Baswedan? The answer is, why not the best," he said.

He then reminded Anies to do several things if he came forward and was elected president. Including, being a leader who is dignified and able to build the character of the nation.

Character development, continued Paloh, must be carried out because physical development alone is not enough. In addition, Anies must also see what values must be improved.

"Anies' main task is to look back at the extent of the value of dignity that has been successful to be continued temporarily which has not been corrected. This moderate thought is offered," he said.

Furthermore, Paloh asked his cadres to continue to oversee Anies Baswedan's candidacy. It is hoped that they can provide input regarding the improvements that must be made.

During Paloh's speech, Anies seemed to keep watching him. He occasionally nods and smiles.

Meanwhile, Anies supporters also often give speeches. "Anies President!" they said. "Pak Anies saved Indonesia," continued one volunteer among them.
