Tragedy Breaks 130 Mental Victims, Muhammadiyah Surabaya Holds Gaib Prayers

JATIM - Residents of Muhammadiyah in the city of Surabaya perform supernatural prayers for residents who died due to the tragedy of Kanjuruhan.

The Persebaya Surabaya match against Arema FC on Saturday night October 1 at the Kanjuruhan Stadium was found to have claimed hundreds of lives and were injured.

"Today we are holding supernatural prayers in all sub-districts throughout Surabaya," said Secretary of the Surabaya City Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership M. Arif An in Surabaya, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 3.

According to him, supernatural prayers are carried out in Muhammadiyah's Amal Usaha environment in the city of Surabaya, including mosques, orphanages, and schools.

A total of 207 students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Dupan in the Bangkingan area, Surabaya, performed the supernatural prayer on Monday, October 3 morning.

"We do this supernatural prayer with students to represent our condolences and condolences for the humanitarian tragedy at the Malang Kanjuruhan Stadium. May Allah place them in the best place," said Head of MIM Dupan Surabaya Rohim.

Arif said that the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of Surabaya conveyed his condolences to the families of all the victims of the riots at the Kanjuruhan Stadium.

According to him, the riots that claimed at least 130 people's lives were a big tragedy.

"This is a big tragedy in the world. We ask the parties to thoroughly investigate. There must be someone responsible, in this case the organizers, officers, and all football stakeholders," he concluded.
