JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP, Puan Maharani, is rumored to be meeting the General Chairperson (Ketum) of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto again. However, it is not yet known when the meeting will take place. Responding to the plan, the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, admitted that Puan's visit to Hambalang met Prabowo in early September 2022 was not the end of communication networks among the elites of the two parties.

"First of all, the meeting was not the first meeting, not the last. Karana, it is only natural that the next meeting between political figures often occurs," said daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Monday, October 3.

Moreover, continued Dasco, preparations for the 2024 General Election have already begun. Mainly, facing the presidential election so that meetings between political party figures will often be held.

"Moreover, facing presidential and legislative elections, of course, a lot of coordination has been carried out. There are many talks and understandings that must be carried out for the good of the nation and state," said Dasco.

Even so, the Deputy Speaker of the DPR said that he was still coordinating the schedule for meetings between the two parties. "(The meeting schedule) is still being coordinated," said Dasco. Previously, the chairman of the PDIP DPP for Election Winning, Bambang Wuryanto alias Bambang Pacul, revealed that Puan Maharani plans to meet again Prabowo Subianto.

"Maybe later (there will be another meeting, ed). Yesterday was the first meeting. Mbak Puan said there might be another meeting," said Bambang in Solo, Central Java, Sunday, October 2.

However, Bambang admitted that he did not know when Puan would meet Prabowo again. Meanwhile, regarding the coalition, Bambang emphasized that it was a decision at the General Chairperson of the PDIP DPP.

It is known that recently the chairman of the DPR who is also the daughter of the PDIP chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri, met Prabowo at his residence in Hambalang, Babakan Madang, Bogor, West Java, Sunday, September 4.

In the Prabowo-Puan meeting in Hambalang, warmth was maintained between the two from riding together to eating lunch together.
