The Malang Village Tragedy Is A Securities For West Java Communities

JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol Ibrahim Tompo expressed his condolences regarding the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, which caused hundreds of victims to die.

"We express our condolences for the disaster that occurred in Malang, this is indeed a sorrow for national footballers, then we also have empathy and we really support the postponement of this match," Ibrahim told reporters, Sunday, October 2.

According to Ibrahim, this tragedy will be a valuable lesson in the future for people in West Java.

"We hope that the match can be held safely and orderly and hope that there will be no casualties and problems arise. We both want to express our gratitude for enjoying a match without any problems, both victims and material and the soul," said Ibrahim.

He also asked supporters to understand the postponement of the match between Persib and Persija as a result of the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java.

"Where in the prinisp we are ready to carry out security, we are currently at GBLA to prepare for the Persib and Persija matches," he said.

"However, because there were considerations from PSSI and PT LIB, then the Panpel and the National Police Headquarters, the attention was paid to postpone the match. Thus, the match plan was postponed until there was further information," he added.

Ibrahim said, for people who have bought tickets, there is no need to worry about being in vain, just waiting for further information regarding the match.

Audiences who have bought don't need to worry, because all the data is recorded in us. So the audience who has bought tickets, they will just wait for the postponement schedule, because all of them still have the right to exchange tickets at the time of the postponement match," said Ibrahim.

As for today, said Ibrahim, the tickets to mark the existing bracelets can be exchanged (not refunds) so that they become memories even though they are not used.

"Then we can go home, and please maintain the conduciveness of Bandung City, so that we can maintain Bandung's security," said Ibrahim.

Finally, Ibrahim has actually confirmed that his party has prepared thousands of extra personnel to secure the match this afternoon before receiving information on the postponement.

He hopes that supporters who are ready to watch both from within the city and outside the city will understand the current conditions.

"Security from personnel and the system is extra than the previous match. We are still on standby here to see the condition of the community and visitors who are present until the members are conducive to leaving this place," concluded Ibrahim.
