Update On COVID-19 As Of October 1: New Cases 1,639, Sembuh 1,526

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 53,283 specimens were examined with the results of 1,639 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,433,263 people and active cases have increased by 103 to 17,697 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, August 6.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,526 cases, bringing the total to 6,257,444 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmation who died was 10, and the total was 158,122 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 603 cases, bringing the total to 1,426,518 cases. Followed by West Java with 313 new cases bringing the total to 1,180,363. East Java has 153 new cases with a total of 605,499. Then, Banten with 142 new cases bringing the total to 337,376 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 810 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 181 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 169 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 67 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 108,776,738.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 6.72 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,927 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 204,594,174 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,205,139 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 63,609,742. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
