JAKARTA - Commemorating Pancasila's Day, October 1, the Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo invited all elements of the nation to maintain and practice Pancasila as an ideology, the basis of the state, and the view of the nation's life. "The commemoration of the Pancasila Sanctity Day is a routine momentum every year, to raise national awareness of the nation's children, to always take care of and practice Pancasila as the ideology, the basis of the state, and the view of the nation's life," said Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet), in Jakarta, Saturday, after attending the Pancasila Sanctity Day Commemoration Ceremony October 1, at Lubang Buaya, Jakarta, as quoted by Antara. According to him, Pancasila has been proven since independence until now has played a very role in maintaining the integrity of national unity and integrity. "Learning notes that after going through a series of historical exams such as the September 30 Movement, the DI/TII rebellion, to the rampant spread of radicalism and terrorism, Pancasila has proven to remain'sakti', firmly unshaping as the basis of the nation's state and ideology," he said. He explained that in the past Pancasila was faced with various events of rebellion, then it still has various challenges. Bamsoet gave an example of the political system built to create Pancasila democracy, has not fully accommodate the aspirations of all people inclusively and reach various minority groups. Bamsoet gave an example in terms of infrastructure development which is President Joko Widodo's flagship program, from 2014 to September 2022, has been successfully built 1,762.3 kilometers of toll roads, 30 dams, 29 airports, and 316,590 village roads. In addition, according to him, in 2023-2024, it is targeted to be completed by building an additional 750 km of toll roads, 27 dams, and 9 airports. During the commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day on October 1, President Joko Widodo acted as Ceremony Inspector and Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo became a reader of the text of Pancasila. The chairman of the DPD La Nyalla Mattalitti reads the script for the Opening of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives read and signed the Ikrar script, and the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas read a prayer.
