5 Methamphetamine Dealers In Tamansari, West Jakarta Were Arrested, Police Called The Drug Case Recidivist

JAKARTA - Five drug dealers with the initials BS, HS, SA, IF and ES were arrested by the Tamansari Metro Police. The perpetrators are a network that runs its illicit business in the West Jakarta area.

Metro Tamansari Police Chief AKBP Rohman Yonky Dilatha said the total evidence seized was 129 grams of methamphetamine.

"The total number of items confiscated is 129 grams, for all of us to do simultaneously," said AKBP Yonky when confirmed, Friday, September 30.

Furthermore, AKBP Yonky said the arrest of the perpetrators began with community reports. Furthermore, the team conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrators at their respective residences.

"So (when arrested) it is not in the context of a transaction. And we found all the evidence at several crime scenes (security)," he said.

To the police, the perpetrators admitted to distributing methamphetamine only in the Tamansari area. They sell methamphetamine to buyers at a price of Rp. 1.3 per gram.

"Among the five perpetrators, there are several that we have previously taken action (recidivist) after leaving still looking for the same job (extortion)," he said.

The police chief admitted that his party would continue to develop and find out the whereabouts of the narcotics dealers.

"We don't stop here, we continue to develop this narcotics case," he said.

The five suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning junto narcotics Article 5 paragraph 1 and threatened with the death penalty, life imprisonment or a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 20 years.
