A Gang Of Robbers Of Gold Shops At ITC BSD Allegedly Terfiliation Of Terrorist Networks

TANGSEL - A gang of gold shop robbers at ITC BSD, South Tangerang (Tangsel) has been arrested. The perpetrators are suspected of being affiliated with a terrorist network.

"It is being investigated together with Densus 88 whether the series of robberies from this syndicate are related to terror," said Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Hengki Haryadi, when confirmed, Friday, September 30.

So far, four people have been involved in the gang and were involved in the robbery of a gold shop. They have the initials SD, TH, HR and MK.

From the results of the interim investigation, they have different roles. Starting from the executor to the supplier of firearms.

However, it has not been clearly detailed which suspects are the executors and providers of firearms.

"There are executors, there are pilots (supervising, ed), there are weapons providers and those who store weapons," he said.

Hengki so far only said the suspects were secured in different locations. One by one, they were arrested in Tangerang to Central Java.

"Arrested in Grobokan, Central Java, Bogor and Tangerang," said Hengki.

In this case, the suspects are charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with violence. Thus, they face a maximum imprisonment of 9 years.

For information, the robbery took place at a gold shop located at ITC BSD Serpong, South Tangerang, on Friday, September 17. During the action, the perpetrator was said to be wearing all black clothes and carrying firearms (senpi).

Based on reports received, the robbery took place at around 11.47 WIB.

In the robbery, the perpetrators stole 600 grams of gold or Rp375 million.
