The three perpetrators took away five Bawaslu inventory laptops with material losses of around Rp. 30 million.

"This incident was first discovered by several Bawaslu Sekadau staff who were shocked when they found out that the five inventory laptops used were no longer in the storage area," he said.

It only took the police two days to catch the perpetrators. They were arrested on their way home from Sanggau Regency.

"When interrogated, the three perpetrators finally admitted their actions and showed the whereabouts of the laptop they had previously hidden in a pile of zinc," he said.

The perpetrators are threatened with Article 363 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code regarding theft and are now being held in the Sekadau Police Headquarters for the sake of further legal proceedings.
