Shinzo Abe Rambung Cemetery, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Arriving In The Country

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Mrs. Wury arrived in Jakarta from a working visit to Tokyo, Japan, Wednesday, September 28 afternoon.

After a flight of about 7 hours 10 minutes, the BBJ2/A-001 Presidential Aircraft carrying the Vice President and his entourage arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport at 13.10 WIB.

On Thursday (29/9) Vice President Ma'ruf will visit East Java to conduct a series of working visits to Sidoarjo and Gersik.

Also picking up the arrival of the Vice President, including Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria, Pangdam Jaya Untung Budiharto, and Kapolda Metro Jaya Mohammad Fadil Imran.

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin paid a working visit to Japan from September 25 to 28, 2022, to attend the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Shinzo Abe.

On Monday (26/9), Vice President Ma'ruf met with the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Heri Akhmadi at the Wisma Duta of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo to have a dialogue with Indonesian citizens living in Japan via zoom connections.

On the same day, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin also met with PM Fumio Kishida at the Akasaka Palace, Tokyo.

Furthermore, on Tuesday (27/9) afternoon, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin attended the state funeral procession of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Nippon Budokan.

At the event, Vice President Ma'ruf and Mrs. Wury laid the chrysanthemums as a form of final respect for the late Shinzo Abe.

The state funerals were attended by 218 countries and international organizations, including United States Vice President Kamala Haris, Indian PM Narenda Modi, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Singaporean PM Lee Hsien Loong, Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, and Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

In the afternoon, Vice President Ma'ruf and Mrs. Wury attended a greetings occasion to express their condolences directly to Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Fumio Kishida and the wife of the late former PM Shinzo Abe, Akie Abe at the Akasaka Palace.
