NTT - The body of the young man with the initials TYL who was shot dead by members of the Belu Police was autopsied by a team of forensic doctors from the East Nusa Tenggara Police (NTT) from Bhayangkara Kupang Hospital.

The NTT Police Chief Inspector General Pol Setyo Budiyanto conveyed an autopsy on the GyL who was on the wanted list (DPO) for the beating case to determine the cause of death.

"The forensic team of doctors has left for Belu to do an autopsy on the bodies," said Inspector General Setyo in Kupang, NTT, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 28.

Inspector General Setyo said the forensic team departed on Tuesday, September 28 evening. Considering the journey to Belu reached eight hours, on Wednesday 29 September this morning the forensic team started working.

In addition to the autopsy, a team from the NTT Police Propam was also dispatched to examine the members involved.

Inspector General Setyo ensured that the results of the NTT Police's autopsy and examination of the NTT Police's Propam on witnesses would clearly show what caused DYL's life to die.

Previously, GYL was shot dead by a joint team from the Belu Police, Raimanuk Police, and East Tasifeto Police on Tuesday, September 27 morning.

GYL is a resident of Lalosuk Hamlet, Manleten Village, East Tasifeto District, Belu Regency, NTT. GYL has been DPO for three weeks on the Belu Police.

"According to a brief report from the Police Chief, the person who was shot was the person who entered the DPO in the case of the beating and was shot when he was about to be arrested," said Inspector General Setyo when confirmed on Tuesday, September 27 afternoon.

Setyo explained that BYL was shot because he had run away when he was about to be arrested. The police reasoned that initially BYL would be paralyzed with a shot aimed at the leg. However, because GynyL looked down, the shot hit the back and resulted in the victim being killed.
