Polri Urges Residents To Calm Down After The Incident In Sigi, Please Carry Out Activities As Usual

JAKARTA - Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said the Tinombala Task Force was deployed to investigate the murder of a family in Lemban Tongoa Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, and appealed to residents to calm down.

As reported by Antara, Monday, November 30, Argo Yuwono invited the people around the incident to do their usual activities because the security forces would be on guard.

"The public does not need to worry and remain calm because the TNI and Polri will join the patrol and together with the community, please carry out activities as usual. TNI and Polri will help and provide a sense of security there," said Argo Yuwono.

Until now, he said, the security forces were still carrying out further steps to make the case clear, including the Special Anti-Terror Police Detachment (Densus 88) conducting investigations and investigating as well as chasing the perpetrators. Meanwhile, the deployment of TNI personnel can be carried out if needed in Operation Tinombala.

He hopes that such inhuman incidents will not be repeated, especially in about two weeks the 2020 simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) will be held.

Previously, a family of four in Lepanu Hamlet, Lemban Tongoa Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi was killed by a suspected terrorist group.

The four victims killed were Yasa alias Yata as the head of the household, Pinu, Nata alias Papa Jana alias Naka and Pedi.
