Anies Is The Driver Of The Angkot Route Rawamangun-Duren Sawit, Antara-emak To Pasar

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is curious about what it's like to be a city transportation (angkot) driver. He then tried to become a driver of the Jak 26 Microtrans route Rawamangun - Duren Sawit.

This moment Anies shared on Anies Baswedan's YouTube account. Anies borrowed the Microtrans that Sudarman Sihombing used to drive from Rawamangun Terminal.

After wearing a seat belt, Anies drove Jak 26 to Cipinang Market, Kebembem while chatting casually with Sihombing who was sitting in the driver's side seat.

"That morning trying to drive an AC Microtrans (Jaklingko) guided by Mr. Sihombing, a driver who used to drive the Jak 26 Microtrans route Rawamangun - Duren Sawit. We talked throughout the journey and also with passengers about the daily experience of traveling in Microtrans," Anies said on his YouTube account, quoted on Monday, September 26.

While raising and lowering passengers, Anies dug up stories from Sihombing about his job as a daily Microtrans driver. To Anies, Sihombing said that currently his work system is better every day because there is no need to catch up with deposits.

The former Minister of Education and Culture also greeted him and took pictures with the passengers. One of them is a mother who wants to go to Klender Market.

"Where are you going?" Anies asked when the mothers took the angkot

"Want to go to Klender Market, sir, to go shopping," replied the mothers.

"If you go to the market using angkot?" Anies continued.

"Yes, use Jak Lingko26" replied the mother again.

In a statement on his YouTube account, Anies views that with the integration of public transportation services into Microtrans, the percentage of Jakarta residents living within a radius of 500 meters from the point of stopping public transport doubled from 42% in 2017, to 83% in 2021.

"This percentage is targeted to continue to grow to 95 percent in 2022," he said.

Although Anies considers this policy to be appropriate for the typology of the city of Jakarta, which has many narrow roads and dense settlements, it turns out that there are still obstacles in Jaklingko's operation. At least, that's what Anies felt when trying to become a Microtrans driver.

"There are still some problems such as signaling the card tap machine to be blank, which is certainly an evaluation material for us to improve services," he said.
