Police Reveal Drug Warehouse in Banjarmasin, Secure 1.3 Kg of Shabu and 31 Ecstasy Pills

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - Banjarmasin Police revealed a house as a place to store drugs. A total of 1,368.15 grams or 1.3 kilograms of methamphetamine in 17 packages were secured from the 'drug warehouse'.

Banjarmasin Police Chief, Commissioner Sabana A Martosumito, said his party also arrested RS (45), the owner of the 'drug warehouse' house in the Jalan Aes Nasution area, Banjarmasin on Thursday, September 15.

"Because it is a place to store narcotics", said Sabana in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Friday, September 23.

In addition to methamphetamine, the police also confiscated 31 ecstasy pills consisting of 23 blue pills weighing 7.57 grams and 8 pink pills weighing 2.62 grams.

Sabana said the suspect's role was only to store goods. The perpetrator then delivers it to the buyer if there is an order from the dealer on it.

"So the communication is only by telephone to wait for orders", he explained.

Currently, the Banjarmasin Police Narcotics Investigation Unit team is still developing a network that controls suspects.

For his actions in distributing drugs, the suspect was charged by investigators with Article 112 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum imprisonment of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years, and a maximum fine of IDR 8 billion.

"From this disclosure, we have succeeded in saving as many as 20,553 people from drug abuse with the assumption that every 1 gram of shabu can be used by 15 people and 1 ecstasy pill is consumed by 1 person", he said.
