JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono is trying to make the Cileunyi &ndash Toll Road; Sumedang – Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Section 1 to 4 operate in December 2022.
"For contractors who work day and night, continue to be enthusiastic about completing the main roads in all Sections 2, 3, and 4. We will try, God willing, it can be completed and operated no later than December 2022. The PUPR Ministry encourages Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) to accelerate the completion of the construction of the 62 km Cisumdawu Toll Road, which is very important for the operational effectiveness of Kertajati Airport, Patimban Port, and the economic development of the Pantura area, West Java, starting from Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka to Kuningan.
The Cisumdawu Toll Road consists of six sections built with a Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) scheme with a construction cost of IDR 5.5 trillion.
Of the six sections, Sections 1 and 2 were carried out by the government as part of the Viability Gap Fund (VGF) to improve the feasibility of the toll investment. Meanwhile, Section 3-6 was carried out by BUJT PT Citra Karya Jabar Tol (CKJT).
Section 1 Cileunyi-Pamulian along 11.45 km has been operating since January 2022 and Section 2 of Pamulihan-Sumedang along 17.05 km of physical progress has 94.7 percent just to complete the slope and landscape work.

He also paid attention to the construction of 3 bridges carried out by BUJT, namely Section 4 of the Cikondang Bridge with contractor PT Wijaya Karya Tbk, then Section 5B of the Conggeang Bridge by PT Brantas Abipraya, and Section 5B of the Kedondong Bridge by PT Girder Indonesia. Basuki instructed specifically for the work of the three bridges to be completed by the end of November 2022.
"Previously, it was necessary to improve ( geotechnical conditions), but now the structure is safe according to the profile. For the main road, I think the violence is good, both flexible and rigid," he said.
Overall Section 3-6 carried out by BUJT is 33.21 km long. Section 3 Sumedang-Cimalaka along 4.05 km construction has been completed 100 percent. Then the construction of Section 4 Cimalaka - Legok along 8.20 km of construction for Section 4A is 87.93 percent, and Section 4B is 58 percent.
Section 5 Legok - Ujungjaya along the 14.9 km of construction progress for 5A is 60.9 percent and 5B is 63 percent. Meanwhile, section 6 Ujung Jaya-Dawuan progress for 6A is 98.2 percent and for 6B the physical progress is 100 percent.
