Regarding Rizieq Shihab In The Petamburan Health Center Violation Case, Police: Whoever Is Related Will Be Summoned

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya opened the opportunity to examine Rizieq Shihab in a case of alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) during the wedding ceremony of his daughter Syarifah Najwa Shihab in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. In the investigation process, the police will examine witnesses related to the case.

"Yes, everyone, we do not specify 1, 2 people, we will summon anyone involved in the fulfillment of the evidence," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat to reporters, Friday, November 27.

Tubagus said that the summoning of parties related to the case would be divided into two groups. First, summons as witnesses and then as suspects.

Later, after the examination and gathering of evidence, the investigator will conduct a case title. From this process the suspect will be determined.

"(Witness) Everything that is related, we will see later, it is dynamic. Maybe from the examination of one witness it has linked with another witness," he said.

However, Tubagus said investigators had yet to schedule an examination of cases of suspected violation of health protocols. The investigation team is still preparing plans related to case handling follow-up.

"Our summons are only at the level of investigation, we are compiling an investigation plan, there will be a schedule. We will arrange it in such a way, because we have to give time for the person being summoned. It cannot be sent today, it must come," he said.

The status of cases of suspected violation of this prokes has been upgraded from investigation to investigation. This is based on the results of the case title which found elements of criminal offenses.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said mass activities in Petamburan were deemed to have violated Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine.

"According to investigators, this has been able to move up to the level of investigation. That means there is an element of criminal action," said Yusri.

The alleged violation of the health protocol was caused by a crowd during the wedding of Rizieq Shihab's daughter in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta, on November 14.

The crowd of supporters of Rizieq gathered because they wanted to participate in the event. Especially at the same time the Prophet's birthday activities were also held. But many of them do not implement health protocols such as wearing masks and keeping their distance.
