MATARAM - The Mataram City Government, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is more careful in setting targets for prospective recipients of social assistance (bansos) due to the increase in fuel oil (BBM).
"In the event that our recipients are more careful, so that no recipients overlap so that they receive assistance many times," said Mataram Mayor H Mohan Roliskana in Mataram, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 20.
The statement was made in response to the plan to disburse fuel assistance sourced from general transfer funds (DTU) of 2 percent or around Rp. 3.6 billion, to help ease the burden on the community after the increase in fuel prices.
"So for this target candidate data, we must synchronize it so that in the future there will be no findings or problems," he said.
While alluding to the type of assistance, the Mayor continued, until now it has not been decided whether the social assistance was given in the form of cash or food packages. "We are still reviewing the form of social assistance, so that the benefits can be more appropriate," he said.
Head of the Mataram City Social Service (Dinsos) Sudirman previously said that the prospective fuel social assistance target still refers to the Mataram City Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS), which currently stands at around 75 thousand families (KK) or around 211 thousand people.
"Of the 75 thousand families, around 51 thousand families have been accommodated through various social welfare programs, both from the central and regional governments," he said.
Therefore, the prospective recipient of the BBM social assistance is not the target of the Family Hope Program (PKH), non-cash food assistance (BPNT), and other programs.
Including KK who has received direct cash assistance (BLT) for fuel as many as 31,126 beneficiary families (KPM) can no longer receive fuel assistance from the regions.
"Therefore, to determine the target of fuel assistance, we are more selective so that the assistance is evenly distributed and on target. Don't let those who receive the assistance just do that," he said.
