KARANGANYAR - The Karanganyar District Attorney's Office, Central Java, summoned two suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Berjo, Ngargoyoso District, to undergo an examination at the Kejari Office. The two suspects in the alleged corruption case of state losses of around Rp. 1.16 billion had the initials S as the active Head of Berjo Village and EK, former Director of BUMDes Berjo. However, during the examination which took place today, only EK answered the summons. Meanwhile, suspect S was not present due to illness. According to the Head of the Special Crimes Section (Pidsus) of the Karanganyar Kejari, Tubagus Gilang Hidayatullah, two suspects in the alleged corruption case with the initials S and EK were summoned to the Kejari Office for examination. However, only EK answered the summons, while S did not come for reasons of illness. Tubagus explained that the suspect EK accompanied by lawyer Ari Santoso came to the Karanganyar Kejari Office, at around 09.00 WIB. The two suspects, both S and EK had not previously informed the lawyer, so the Kejari facilitated the appointment of a lawyer. Suspect EK is under investigation if he meets the objective and subjective requirements, then he can be detained with a note while undergoing a health check and the results are healthy. EK had not complied with the Kejari's summons three times during the initial examination stage as a witness because he worked in Jakarta. EK is now undergoing the first examination after being named a suspect. "The examination of EK, the point is about the management of BUMDes Berjo," he said, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 20. In addition, the Karanganyar Kejari Investigators will send another summons to S to undergo an examination as a suspect at the Karanganyar District Attorney's Office on Tuesday, September 27. Previously, the Karanganyar Kejari named two suspects related to the alleged corruption case of the Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Berjo, Ngargoyoso District, which cost the state finances around Rp1.16 billion. Tubagus Gilang added, after conducting a case title, he then named two suspects involved in the alleged corruption, namely the initials S as the active village head Berjo and EK former BUMDes Berjo Director. The Karanganyar Kejari for the past two months has been working on a marathon conducting investigations, including examining 20 witnesses and two experts. From the results of the examination, it can be concluded that two people as suspects with two pieces of evidence have the results of state losses of around Rp. 1.16 billion.
