PPATK Says There Are Judicial Transactions In 2 Countries Regarding Lukas Enembe

JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) found a gambling transaction involving the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe. It is suspected that this activity occurred in two countries. "PPATK also gets information, cooperates with other countries and there are gambling activities in two different countries," said PPATK Head Ivan Yustiavandana in a press conference broadcast on the YouTube of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Monday, September 19. This finding, continued Ivan, has been analyzed. The results have also been submitted to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Furthermore, the suspension of transactions has been carried out by PPATK on 11 financial services related to Lukas. "The value of the frozen transaction is IDR 71 billion," said Ivan. PPATK, said Ivan, has actually been targeting Lukas' account since five years ago or 2017. There are various financial transactions that are carried out and are suspected to be related to the case that is currently being investigated by the KPK. "The case variant has cash deposits, then there is a deposit through nominee-nominee through other parties whose figure is from Rp. 1 billion to hundreds of billions," he explained. The transaction was then analyzed by PPATK, until finally finding some evidence of the alleged corruption of Lukas Enembe. "One of the results of the analysis is related to the transaction in question at the gambling casino worth 55 million Singapore dollars or Rp560 billion. Cash deposits are made in a certain period," said Ivan. As previously reported, the KPK confirmed that it had named Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe as a suspect. The case that ensnared him has not been detailed, but the incumbent governor has been prevented from going abroad for six months. The Directorate General of Immigration said the prevention was requested by the KPK for six months. Lukas was prevented until March 2023. "The Directorate of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement (Ditwasdakim) of the Directorate General of Immigration has received a prevention application to the subject on behalf of Lukas Enembe," said Director of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement I Nyoman Gede Surya Mataram in a written statement, Monday, September 12.
