Update On COVID-19 As Of 26 November: New Cases Of 4,917, Healing, Increasing 3,842

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 51,471 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 4,917 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 516,753 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Thursday, November 26.

Today's cases increased by 3,842, so that a total of 433,649 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 127 people and a total of 16,352 people.

The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,064 new cases and a total of 131,525 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Followed by West Java which has 776 new cases and 50,482 total cases. Then, Central Java has 559 new cases with a total of 48,385 cases. East Java has 390 new cases and a total of 60,190 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,125 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 712 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 304 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 268 recovered cases.

As of today, none of the provinces reported having no new cases. The provinces that had new cases under 10 were North Maluku with 1 case and West Sulawesi with 8 cases.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 5,517,392. In detail, a total of 5,418,927 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 98,465 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14 percent," he wrote.

Finally, for the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 66,685 people. Currently, 505 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
