JAKARTA - Partai NasDem merespons Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan yang menyatakan siap mencalonkan diri sebagai calon presiden pada Pilpres 2024, apabila ada partai politik yang mengusungnya. The chairman of the NasDem Party DPP Willy Aditya, said that Anies' statement was like a tit for tat because it was in line with the results of the 2022 National Working Meeting (Rakernas). Where Anies became one of three names for the presidential candidate who was likely to be carried by NasDem in the 2024 presidential election. "The results of the NasDem National Working Meeting's decision have nominated Mr. Anies. Of course this is a tit for tat, the National Working Meeting's decision has a response," Willy said when confirmed, Friday, September 16. However, Willy emphasized that the name of the presidential candidate to be carried in the 2024 presidential election would be decided by the General Chair of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh. In addition, he said, the name of the presidential candidate carried by NasDem also depends on the coalition of political parties. "It is impossible for us to only nominate one name without any coalition being able to dispatch the presidential candidate," said Willy. Willy admits that currently NasDem is exploring the formation of the 2024 presidential election coalition with the Democratic Party and PKS. However, according to him, an agreement has not been reached. "(So) just waiting for the agreement, that's quite a crucial point so far," said Willy.
