MAKAKASSAR - M (44) was taken to the police station because he was caught pretending to be a police officer. These fake policemen often show off their style using the AKP rank police uniform on social media.

Makassar Port Police Chief, AKBP M Kadarislam said, M was arrested by the police on Jalan Sangir, Makassar, Tuesday, November 24. The police uniform in M's name was also confiscated. M was immediately examined intensively.

"Yes, that's right, we only secure the use of police uniforms that cannot be used by other members of the National Police. Meanwhile, we still secure them for questioning," said Makassar Port Police Chief AKBP M Kadarislam, confirmed by VOI, Thursday, November 26.

AKBP M Kadarislam revealed that M was initially observed to often upload photos of himself wearing the Police uniform. Feeling suspicious, one resident reported to the police. M was wearing the full uniform of the Polri Polairud Polres Pelabuhan with the rank of AKP.

"The purpose of using the uniform is a matter of pride by posting to Smule social media and Facebook," he said.

M has not been charged with being a fake police officer. Because no reporter has yet complained M to the police about a criminal act.
