JAKARTA - The House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) has stated that it will invite Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman to the DPR Building regarding polemics with members of Commission I of the House of Representatives Effendi Simbolon. Member of the DPR MKD Maman Imanulhaq said, today the MKD will verify Effendi's statements about his remarks that call the TNI a mass organization. The summons of Effendi to the MKD is scheduled for 14.00 WIB. "We will verify his statements later at 2 o'clock," said Maman after summoning the three reporting organizations Effendi Simbolon at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 16. Maman said that the MKD also plans to summon General Dudung so that the polemic related to the TNI can be resolved immediately. "This includes possible summoning General Dudung in the MKD. This is important," said the PKB politician. Maman said the MKD appreciated reports from the public against Effendi. He admitted that the members of the council have immunity rights but must still be controlled so as not to go too far in voicing aspirations. "We were inspired by our friends that they deliberately came to the MKD so that this issue would not take long and continue to make the DPR RI an example of a figure in conveying votes, having immunity, but not causing politeness and civility values. We really appreciate it," he said. However, Maman could not confirm when the DPR MKD would summon General Dudung. He also did not know whether the MKD secretary had written to the Army Chief of Staff or not. "I don't know yet. What is certain is that our agenda is Pak Effendi Simbolon's day. We are scheduled to receive it at 2 o'clock. This is after we received three guests," said Maman.
