BINTAN - The Bintan District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has detained three corruption suspects in land acquisition for the final disposal site (TPA) worth Rp. 2.4 billion at the Tanjungpinang Class I Detention Center.

"The suspects were detained for 20 days until October 3, 2022. The other two suspects, each Ary Syafdiansah as the land broker, and Supriatna as the land owner.

"The three of them were proven to have falsified land documents, so that after the land was acquired it could not be used because of overlapping land and some of the land entered forest areas," he said.

He added that the actions of the suspects caused state financial losses of Rp. 2.4 billion. This is based on the calculation of the Auditor at the BPKP Representative of the Riau Islands Province.

The suspects violated Primary Article 2 Subsidiary Article 3 of the Corruption Crime Act (Tipikor) Juncto Article 55 Paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 15 years in prison.

"The three of them will soon be tried at the Tanjungpinang District Court," said the Head of the Bintan Kejari.
