Lukas Enembe Becomes a Corruption Suspect, KPK: PPATK Blocks Fantastic Value Accounts

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) had blocked the account of the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe. The amount of money in it is called fantastic value.

"Regarding LE, it is clear that PPATK has blocked accounts whose value is indeed fantastic up to tens of billions", said KPK Deputy Chair, Alexander Marwata, at a press conference at the KPK Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 14.

However, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) does not yet know whether the account is a repository for the proceeds of bribes received by Lukas. The investigation will continue.

"We will see if the money contained in the account is part of a bribe", he said.

Previously reported, the KPK revealed that Lukas Enembe had been named a suspect. He became a suspect after the anti-corruption commission received complaints from the public.

The case that ensnared Luke has not yet been detailed. However, he has been prevented from going abroad for six months. This prevention, called the Directorate General of Immigration, was requested by the KPK.

"Directorate of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement of the Directorate General of Immigration received a prevention application to the subject on behalf of Lukas Enembe", said Director of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement, I Nyoman Gede Surya Mataram, in a written statement, Monday, September 12.

In addition, Lukas Enembe was once scheduled by the KPK to be investigated. However, he did not attend due to illness.
