JAKARTA - The impact of the increase in fuel oil prices (BBM) is considered to make the community miserable. Therefore, various demonstrations continue to be carried out by a number of elements of society in the Central Jakarta area.

The Collective Gebrakan Kerja Bersama Rakyat (Gebrak) also held a demonstration related to the increase in fuel prices.

Juru bicara Gebrak, Nining Elitos mengatakan, kebijakan meningkat harga BBM ini menambah rangkaian kebijakan pemerintah yang membuat masyarakat semakin menurun dan menderitas.

"The reason is, this ignores the domino effect caused, namely the increase in the price of basic materials due to the increase in production and distribution costs," said Nining when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, September 13.

Even the worst thing, the government actually took a stand without first choosing alternative policies that did not have a direct impact on the community. For example, continued Nining, reconstructing the state budget, transferring IKN project funding, removing income taxes or increasing labor wages.

"The decision to increase the price of fuel is not based on the government's alignment with the people," he said.

This mass of actions categorically rejected the increase in fuel prices. The refusal will be delivered at the State Palace, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Central Jakarta.

"We have 5 demands. First, we reject the increase in fuel prices and lower the price of basic necessities. Second, revoke the Omnibus Law on Job Creation and its derivative PP. Third, revoke the P3 Law. Reject the revision of the Criminal Code (RKUHP) and reject the revision of the Sisdiknas Law," he said.

Previously, on September 3, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia officially announced an increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM). Solar type fuel from Rp. 5,150 to Rp. 6,800. Pertalite type fuel from Rp. 7,650 to Rp. 10,000 and Pertamax type fuel from Rp. 12,500 to Rp. 14,500.
