Hit A Motorist To Death In East Jakarta, Transjakarta Driver Flees

JAKARTA - A motorbike rider was reported killed in a hit and run incident involving unscrupulous TransJakarta Bus riders on Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Tuesday, November 24 evening.

"The case has been transferred to the Laka Section of the Jakarta Metro Police, Pancoran," said Head of Laka then East Jakarta Police, AKP Teguh Achrianto in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, November 25.

Based on an incident report from the police, the motorcyclist who died was named Leonar Mariyanan (32), a resident of Sukamahi Village, Cikarang Pusat District, Bekasi Regency, West Java.

Meanwhile, the TransJakarta bus driver who was involved in the incident is not yet identified because he fled after the accident.

The chronology of the incident began when the victim crossed Jalan Raya Bogor from south to north via Jalan Raya Bogor using a Honda Beat B 6768 EGY motorcycle.

When he arrived near SMPN 49, the TransJakarta Bus grazed the victim's motorbike so that it shook and fell.

The driver of a Honda Beat motorbike was crushed by the right rear tire of the TransJakarta bus. As a result, the victim died at the scene.

After the accident, the TransJakarta bus vehicle fled the scene.

Separately, PT TransJakarta PR, Nadia Diposanjoyo, who was confirmed regarding the incident, did not provide an answer until this news was published.
