Anies Want A Rest First After The Governor Of DKI, After That?

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan already has a plan after he no longer serves as Governor of DKI. Anies wants to rest first after October 16, 2022.. Anies conveyed this intention in front of the congregation during the inauguration of the Jami Al Hidayah Mosque, Klender, East Jakarta, Friday 9 September.

"What is certain is that next month I will rest, I will finish my duties as governor," said Anies.

He hopes to return to worship at the mosque even though the time is not yet known.

"God willing, we will meet again later, it is fate that we can return here again, although later the time will not know when," he said.

Anies also had time to interact with the congregation who invited him to ask when he would no longer be the Governor of DKI.

"So what's the next day? We'll see later, you have to finish one by one, first finish one. Don't be unfinished, already to the other," said Anies.

The former Minister of Education and Culture will end his tenure as Governor of DKI on October 16, 2022 together with Deputy Governor of DKI Ahmad Riza Patria.

Meanwhile, the DKI DPRD is working on three names that will be proposed as candidates for acting governor of DKI to the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Minister of Home Affairs.

The Ministry of Home Affairs asked the DKI DPRD to have deposited three names before September 16, 2022 or 30 days before Anies stepped down.

Apart from the DKI DPRD, the Ministry of Home Affairs also proposed three names of candidates for governorship to the President of the Republic of Indonesia so that a total of six names would be proposed.
