JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has ensured that it continues to seek the inactive Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak. Although the pursuit is confirmed according to standards, there are challenges that must be faced by the anti-corruption commission team, including certain conditions that cause them to coordinate with other parties.
"We have the same standard for handling corruption. It's just that when Papua is this distance, firstly, the terrain is broad, and there are conditions that we must coordinate together," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto to reporters in Jakarta, Friday, September 9.
Karyoto said Ricky, who is a suspect in receiving bribes related to the procurement of the project, was still in Papua New Guinea. This information was obtained from a number of witnesses.
Meanwhile, the police officer who helped the regent escape, continued Karyoto, is currently undergoing an ethics trial. They were declared to have violated.
"There are several members of the Regional Police (Papua, ed) who are indicated, yes, the term is, in a code of ethics has violated. We have not coordinated in detail with the other party," explained Karyoto.
