JAKARTA - The National Police said that the absence of Syarifah Najwa Shihab and Muhammad Irfan Alaydrus, Rizieq Shihab's son and son-in-law in the invitation to clarify will have a detrimental impact on both themselves. This is because the investigation into the alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) during the wedding ceremony will not be disturbed.

"Of course, the person who was sent an invitation for clarification cannot attend. That is a loss, because of opportunity. Clarification is an opportunity," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, to reporters, Tuesday, November 24.

Currently case handling has entered the evaluation stage. This means that investigators are holding an internal meeting to discuss the clarification results of several witnesses.

However, Awi said that it was not impossible for investigators to decide to invite them back for questioning.

"It is possible that the clarification has been scheduled to be called next," he said.

However, if investigators decide there is no need to summon them, then, in the near future there will be a case title. It will be determined whether this case goes to investigation or not.

"Later, after the initial evidence, it will be sufficient to increase it to investigation," he said.

Previously, Syarifah Najwa Shihab and Muhammad Irfan did not fulfill the investigators' invitation for questioning on Friday, November 20.

Attorney fornt Pembelas Islam (FPI) Aziz Yanuar said Najwa Shihab and Irfan Alaydrus did not come because they were busy with other activities.

"There is a need so that they cannot attend the invitation from the police," Aziz told VOI, Saturday, November 21

In the process of investigating this case, dozens of witnesses have been questioned. Including the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan who was clarified by asking 33 questions.

Apart from that, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, has also been questioned about the matter on Monday, November 23. About 8 hours Riza was asked for information with 46 questions.
