JAKARTA - A senior commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Force (IRGC) warned on Wednesday that any country involved in Israel's aggression against the Islamic Republic would "pay its price", Iran news agency Tasnim reported, amid a stalemate between Tehran and Washington to revive the 2015 Nuclear Deal.

"The regime of Zionist (Israel) is considered a major threat to Iran's security. All governments in collaboration with the regime's aggression against Iran's security will pay its price," said senior IRGC commander Gholamali Rashid, cited from Reuters from Tasnim 7 September.

Israel, which sees Iran's nuclear program as a threat to its existence, has warned of military action against the country's nuclear site, if diplomacy fails to curb Tehran's nuclear work.

Meanwhile, Iran has repeatedly said it will provide a devastating response to any aggression.

Iran wants guarantees of lifting sanctions, as part of negotiations on the recovery of the 2015 Nuclear Deal which has the official name of the Joint Comprehensive Plan for Action (JCPOA).

"The most important problem for us is guarantees. If the guarantee framework is not strong, we can see unfortunate events related to the agreement at any time," Iran news agency Fars quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser as saying.

"The guarantee problem has two sides. One of them is the guarantee of lifting sanctions in a way that can economically benefit Iran from the JCPOA," he continued.
