Grandpa In Palopo Emotional Because Stores Not Selling Nokia Cell Phones, Threatens Employees With Badik

MAKASSAR - Video of a grandfather pulling out a badik sharp weapon threatening a mobile phone shop employee in Palopo, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) spreads on social media. This grandfather issued a badik allegedly due to the emotion of the store not selling Nokia cellphones.

This incident occurred at a cellphone shop on Jalan Ahmad Dahlan, Palopo City. Video shared on social media, Tuesday, November 24.

In a post on the regional information Instagram account, it was stated that the grandfather was looking for a Nokia cellphone. However, the shop clerk said the cellphone in question was not available.

The shop clerk then offered another Android phone. A few moments later, this old man took the badik and made the female employee scream in horror.

One of the men had lifted a chair to block the grandfather's reckless action to issue a badik. In the video, you can see a man in a yellow shirt grabbing a sharp weapon from behind.

Regarding this video, Palopo Police admitted that they had not received any reports or complaints. The police are still investigating this incident.

"There has been no report yet to the SPKT (integrated police service center), there will definitely be a report there," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Palopo Police, AKP Andi Aris Abubakar, contacted by VOI.
