Ministry Of Religion Prepares Quality And Quality Manuscripts For Friday Sermons

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion will prepare a Friday sermon script as an alternative for people who wish to use it. Friday sermon material will be adapted to the times. Therefore, the Ministry of Religion will involve scholars and academics who are experts in their fields.

This was emphasized by the Director General of Islamic Guidance and Guidance, Kamaruddin Amin, who said that the plan to compile this Friday sermon is in line with the Ministry of Religion's policy to provide digital literacy that supports increasing the competence of religious preachers.

"We will prepare a quality and quality script with a team of expert writers in their fields," he said in Jakarta, as quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Religion, Tuesday, November 24.

"The manuscript that is prepared can be used as an alternative. There is no obligation for every mosque and preacher to use the Friday sermon manuscript published by the Ministry of Religion, "he continued.

He said that the involvement of scholars, practitioners and academics is important to produce quality Friday sermon manuscripts that are relevant to social dynamics. There are a number of themes to be developed, including: morals, education, globalization, zakat, waqf, sharia economics, and the problem of the millennial generation.

Kamaruddin believes that if the quality of the manuscript compiled by the Ministry of Religion is maintained, it will be used by the community.

"Although it is not a necessity, if the Kemenag text is of good quality, both in terms of message and editorial, it will definitely be used by the public and mosques in Indonesia," he said.

According to him, Friday sermons should be an instrument to provide constructive information to the public. Therefore, the Ministry of Religion should be present to facilitate the existence of a script that is in accordance with the times in society.

"So, the Friday sermon also needs to discuss contemporary problems and their solutions. That is one of the focuses in the preparation of this sermon manuscript, "he said.
