Surabaya City Government Ready To Submit A Cassation On The Wisma Persebaya Dispute

JAKARTA - The Surabaya City Government is ready to file an appeal against the Surabaya High Court (PT) decision against the Wisma Pesebaya case on Jalan Karanggayam, Surabaya City, East Java.

Member of Commission A for Law and Government Affairs of the Surabaya City DPRD, Imam Syafi'i, said the plan to submit an appeal for Wisma Persebaya was conveyed by the Head of the Surabaya Building and Land Management Agency (DPBT) during a hearing at Commission A, Monday, November 23.

"The meeting yesterday actually discussed the budget plan and the land service policy in the 2021 Surabaya RAPBD discussion, starting from the green letter, asset utilization to land retribution. At that time, I put in a question regarding Karanggayam," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 24.

According to him, an official copy of the decision from the Surabaya High Court (PT) has been received by both parties, both from the Surabaya City Government and Persebaya since Wednesday, November 18.

Imam said the Surabaya City Government has 14 working days to make a decision. "If calculated, the municipal government deadline is until December 8. If it passes the deadline, it means that it is considered to be accepted," he said.

Head of the Surabaya Building and Land Management Service (DPBT) Maria Theresia Ekawati Rahayu said the official decision letter from the Surabaya High Court had arrived at the Surabaya City Government.

"It is currently under discussion. We are also coordinating with the state attorney (JPN) from the prosecutor's office," he said.

Maria Theresia, who is often called by Yayuk, said that it is possible that the Surabaya City Government will file an appeal.

When asked about the Karanggayam development plan? Yayuk said there was no utilization plan yet. However, he continued, what is clear is that the field will not change its function, but will still be a football field. The Surabaya City Government does not yet have a development plan in that area.
