MUKOMUKO - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, said the losses caused by floods that hit this area had reached Rp2.5 billion since a few days ago. Head of the Mukomuko Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, Ramdani, said the losses were due to damage to road infrastructure, public facilities, and houses of residents who were swept away. "For the time being, the estimated loss due to flooding is Rp. 2.5 billion, but the loss due to flooding is not yet detailed. There is a team of Kaji for post-flood losses that will calculate it," he said at Mukomuko, Antara, Monday, September 5. As a result of the flood as many as 432 families in this area were affected, the fish auction place (TPI) was submerged, two fishing boats were washed away, two fishing gear units were damaged, two boats were heavily damaged, and one boat was moderately damaged, and one house was swept away. A total of 432 families are spread across five sub-districts in this area, namely 22 families in Semundam Village, 95 families in Air Buluh Village, 74 families in Makmur Island Village, 36 families in Pulau Baru Village. Then as many as 33 families in Pondok Kopi Village, seven families in Pasar Ipuh Village, five families in Dusun Pulau Village, 38 families in Talang Rio Village.12 families in Air Rami Village, 105 families in Pondok Batu Village, and five families in Lubuk Pinang District. However, of the 432 families of residents affected by the flood, he said, as many as 110 families in Pondok Batu Village, Mukomuko City District and Lubuk Pinang District had not yet received basic food assistance from the government. He said the local government had distributed various basic materials to 322 families spread across three sub-districts in this area. "There are still 105 families in Pondok Batu Village and five families in Lubuk Pinang District who have not received disaster logistical assistance from the local government," he said. He said the government would provide assistance in the form of rice, ready-to-eat food, ready-to-eat side dishes, children's food, mattresses, mattresses, blankets, baby clothing, adult clothing, and sanitary napkins.
