Prabowo Opens The Possibility Of Gandeng Puan In The 2024 Presidential Election, PKB: Positive Thinking Aja

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) responded to the statement by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, who spoke about the possibility of pairing with the Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP, Puan Maharani, in the 2024 presidential election.

PKB, which has officially formed a coalition with Gerindra, considers Prabowo's statement normal. PKB Deputy Chairperson Jazilul Fawaid said his party was trying to keep a positive mind about Prabowo's statement.

"We take it as normal, it's just an artistic theory as a possibility, guess the mangosteen fruit, so we don't know the exact content. We're just positive thinking," said Jazilul, quoted Monday, September 5.

Jazilul then brought up the contents of the charter for the declaration of the PKB coalition with Gerindra which was signed in Sentul, West Java, recently.

In the charter, it was agreed that the presidential candidate in the coalition was in the hands of the two general chairmen, namely Prabowo Subianto and Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin.

"Of course we stick to the charter of cooperation that has been signed by PKB and Gerindra, that the presidential and vice presidential pairs are determined by Pak Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin. We trust each other," said Jazilul.

He also explained that the positive thinking he conveyed was related to inter-party relationships having positive dynamics.

"The dynamics are positive. But (PDIP will join, ed) I can't conclude yet," said Jazilul Fawaid.

Previously, Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto hoped that his party could build a large coalition in the 2024 presidential election after receiving a visit from the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java.

As is known, Gerindra and PKB have agreed to form a coalition for the 2024 presidential election. Prabowo hopes that the coalition can also be filled with PDIP. "From the beginning of time we also declared cooperation with PKB, from the start we said it was also open. We also want big, solid cooperation," said Prabowo at his residence, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Sunday, September 4.

Prabowo also opened up the opportunity to pair up with Puan as a presidential-vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

"I think yes, in terms of theory, it is possible. Earlier, it was for the good of the nation and state, why not?" Prabowo said.
