Rising BBM, Kaltara Transportation Agency For Speed Boat Tariffs Must Be In Accordance With The Governor's Decree

KALTARA - Head of the Transportation Development Division of the North Kalimantan Transportation Service (Kaltara) Andi Nasuha warned that if there was an increase in the rate of fast motorboats or between regencies/cities in Kaltara, exceeded the provisions of the Governor's Decree No. 1 of 2015, then the sailing permit was stopped. This is related to the increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM).

"If we want to increase the tariff, we will tolerate it, but if the costs are above the Governor's Decree, we will not allow them to sail because they set tariffs unilaterally," Andi Nasuha quoted Antara as saying, quoting Antara, Sunday, September 4.

Andi Nasuha said that for tariff adjustments, there are indeed such plans and regulations for the transportation of regular motor boats between cities within Kaltara Province already have Governor Decree No. 1 of 2015.

For the adjustment of the regular speed boat fare for the Tarakan-Tanjung Selor route, it will be Rp. 145,000 per person from the previous Rp. 130,000. The tariff is adjusted to the price of Pertalite which rose to Rp. 10,000 per liter.

In addition to the Tanjung Selor-Tarakan route, tariff adjustments will also be made on the Tarakan-Malinau route to Rp310,000 per person, Tarakan-Nunukan Rp280,000 per person, Tarakan - Tidung Pele Rp235,000 per person, Tarakan - Bunyu Island Rp120,000 per person, Tarakan - Mosquito River Rp280,000 per person, and Tarakan - Sembakung Rp315,000, - per person.

Kaltara as a province that relies on river and sea transportation, relies heavily on fast boat transportation.

The Kaltara Transportation Service on Sunday, September 4 is still communicating with the Kaltara River, Lake and Crossing Entrepreneurs Association (Gapasdap).

"If we want, if we can postpone it first but this concerns their operations, if they survive like that, they cannot sail only for speed boats because it has been arranged," he said.

However, for other transportation, he continued, such as ferries, the Kaltara Transportation Agency has not been able to adjust because there are no rules and there has been no change in rates.

Today there is an agreement for Dishub staff at the office and at the UPTD in collaboration with the Land Transportation Center and the Land Transportation Center (BPTD) that allows sailing.

"If there are entrepreneurs or operators of fast motorboats sailing at a rate above the stipulation, they will be dismissed from sailing, because it has violated the rules," said Andi Nasuha.

The Transportation Agency has also written to the port of fast motorboats in five districts/cities and there is socialization by installing billboards to adjust the speedboat fare.
