KALTARA - After the government officially increased the price of fuel as of September 3, 2022, Malinau Police personnel, North Kalimantan (Kaltra) carried out guard, patrol and security at the Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) APMS Malinau Seberang Village, North Malinau District, Malinau Regency. The presence of police personnel is to ensure the availability of fuel oil (BBM) stocks for people in Malinau Regency.

"The monitoring activities for distribution and stock of fuel in the PPS of Malinau Seberang Village are to ensure fuel supplies and at the same time coordinate with gas station owners so that there is no misuse related to fuel distribution," said North Malinau Police Chief Ipda Joko Subagyo in Malinau, quoting Antara, Sunday 4 September.

North Malinau Police personnel are involved in the security to prevent irregularities in the distribution of fuel such as smuggling or transactions that have the potential for criminal acts. And to anticipate people who want to refuel repeatedly.

Joko also said that people should avoid unlawful acts, unlawful acts in question are fuel hoarding practices, illegal transportation or transactions that have the potential for criminal acts.

Until now, the distribution of fuel in the Malinau Regency area has gone smoothly. Currently in Malinau Regency only one APMS is open to serving the community.
