Tanah Abang And Sawah Besar, Dua Kecamatan Terbanyak Kasus Stunting Balita

JAKARTA - Two sub-districts in Central Jakarta (Jakpus) are included in the list of most stunting cases. Head of the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept. (Kasudinkes), Rismasari, said that of the eight sub-districts in Central Jakarta, there were two sub-districts whose toddlers were stunted. Among them, Sawah Besar and Tanah Abang sub-districts were found to be stunted.

"Each in Tanah Abang and Sawah Besar sub-districts, there are 238 stunted toddlers," Rismasari said when confirmed by reporters, Wednesday, August 31.

Nevertheless, Rismasari said, cross-sectoral parties have tried to overcome the stunting problem in Central Jakarta.

Handling from the Health Sub-Department is to encourage measurement, weighing and screening of toddlers.

"Balita is included in the category, there must be a diagnosis from the doctor. Stunting cannot be determined because it is measured that weight cannot be measured," he said.

Rismasari said that the toddler who was stunted must be examined by a child specialist.

Please note, as many as 994 toddlers in Central Jakarta are included in the stunting category, the number of toddlers is spread across eight sub-districts throughout Central Jakarta.

"The number of stunting in Central Jakarta is 994 or 3 percent of toddlers who are included in the stunting category," he said.
