JAKARTA - A viral recording on social media showing the beating on Jalan Gandaria Tengah, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, took place on Saturday, August 27, at 02.05 WIB.

After being investigated, the incident began when the victim and his friends were sitting on the side of the road. Not long after, he came to reprimand the victim using a taikpot which was considered British by the victim. One of the victim's friends reprimanded the perpetrator. "Don't be noisy, the streets don't have you," he said.

Shortly after being reprimanded like that, it turned out that the perpetrator came back with his friends. They immediately attacked the victim, causing the victim to be injured.

Contacted by the Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Nurma Dewi admitted that she still did not know about the incident. Therefore, his party is currently checking. "Let's check first," said Nurma via text message to VOI, Monday, August 29.

The same thing was said by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebayoran Baru Police, AKP Nunu Suparmi. He said his party had not received a report as a result of the incident. "There is no report yet on the incident. But we are still checking the field," he said.

On his occasion, Nunu explained that if the incident really happened, his party would look for the perpetrators and process the law.

Furthermore, for preventive measures, his party will increase supervision. This is done to prevent similar incidents from happening. "We are patrolling, after this incident we will improve it again. We will check the field," he concluded.
