JAKARTA - A village head in Cikelet Subdistrict, Garut Regency, West Java has been named a suspect in the alleged case of underage girls.

"The results of yesterday's case title have been named as suspects," said Head of Public Relations Sub Division of the Garut Police, Ipda, Muslih Hidayat in Garut, reported by Antara, Friday, November 20.

He said the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit had conducted investigations and case titles until finally determining a suspect who is currently the village head in Cikelet District.

Although the suspect has been named, said Muslih, the police have not yet made the arrest. Investigators are still examining the suspect.

"Then the suspect is named, then a summons will be made," he said.

The immoral criminal case began with a victim's report to the police in early October 2020 regarding the inappropriate act of the village head against a woman who was still a minor.

Muchlis Nugraha's attorney for the victim said the case had been going on for two months and had urged the police several times to solve the case.
