BENGKULU - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of the Geophysics Station has ensured that 10 units of earthquake detection equipment in Bengkulu Province are in good condition and can operate normally.

The certainty of normal earthquake detection equipment after the BMKG Baai Island Climatology Station said there was a potential for an 8.9 magnitude (M) earthquake centered in the Mukomuko Regency area.

"The condition of earthquake detection equipment in Bengkulu Province is in good condition and operating normally," said Head of the BMKG Geophysics Station, Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu, Litman, when contacted via telephone, Friday, August 26.

He explained that as many as 10 units of earthquake detection equipment were located in the Muara Sahung area, Kaur Regency, Batu Bandung Village, South Bengkulu Regency, at Bengkulu University.

Then, Kepahiang Regency, Enggano Islands, Argamakmur region and Sakti Seblat clan in North Bengkulu Regency.
