Viral Motorcyclists Fall Due To Sleep Police, Head Of Traffic Headquarters In Jakut: Ask The Transportation Agency, What Makes Them

JAKARTA – A number of motorcycle riders fell while crossing Jalan Sunter, North Jakarta. In a short video that has gone viral on social media, a person can be seen lying on the sidewalk, after being evacuated, having fallen from his motorbike. Then not long after another motorcyclist also fell.

Upon closer inspection, it turns out that what caused them to fall was a speed bump or road bump that had just been made on the road. Based on VOI's observations, the speed bumps were on the main road without any signs.

Contacted separately, North Jakarta Traffic Head Office, AKP Edy Wibowo confirmed the incident. However, there have been no reports of the accident so far.

"There was no report to my place. It was indeed an accident. But there was no report," said Edy when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, August 25.

When asked if there were any preventive measures to prevent accidents, Edy asked to contact the North Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub). Because he did not know more about the problem.

"(Preventive steps) Try asking Dishub. That's what Dishub installed. That's just the installation, I don't know. You know that," he said.

Regarding the height of the speed bump, Edy declined to comment. Because it's not their jurisdiction.

"Ask the Transportation Agency (North Jakarta). You know Sunter, North Jakarta," he concluded.
