4 Days Of Search, Victim Of Ship Accident In Anambas Kepri Found Dead

NATUNA - The joint SAR team managed to find the crew of the Bagan ship in the Anambas Islands, Riau Islands, which had an accident, in a dead condition after a four-day search.

"The fourth day of the search for Jery (male 17 years) a crew of the Bagan ship who was reported to have fallen from the Bagan in the waters of Buan Island, Anambas Regency on Sunday (21/8) finally yielded results," said Head of the Natuna Search and Rescue Office, Mexianus Be Kabel. quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 24.

He said the joint SAR team consisted of personnel from the Natuna Search and Rescue Office, Lanal Tarempa, Polairud Anambas, BPBD Anambas Regency, the media and local fishermen.

"The victim was found about 5 Nm from the first point, in a state of death," said Mexianus.

He explained that the victim was first discovered by fishermen at 16.50 WIB. The discovery was reported to the Joint SAR Team onboard the Baruk Lanal Tarempa Navy Ship to be evacuated.

"After the victim was successfully evacuated, the Joint SAR team went to KAL Baruk, then the victim was taken to Nyamuk Island to be handed over to the Nyamuk Island Health Center, East Siantan District, Anambas Regency," he explained.

For these findings, Mexianus expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all elements involved in carrying out the search operation.

"In addition, we would like to thank Lanal Tarempa who has helped by deploying the Navy Ship namely KAL Baruk and also thank the Anambas Regency Government for establishing good coordination in supporting the implementation of this SAR Operation," said Mexianus.
