Inaugurate 8 New Kapolda, Kapolri Emphasize 3 Important Points

JAKARTA - National Police Chief Idham Azis officially appointed eight generals as the new Kapolda. During the inauguration, Idham emphasized three important directions that must be carried out.

The directive was conveyed to journalists through the National Police Public Relations Division Karo Penmas, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, first the National Police Chief emphasized the issue of security in the simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) 2020 event.

"The National Police Chief conveyed several things related to orders to the current Regional Police Chiefs to immediately insert and prepare their personnel to carry out the simultaneous regional election security which will be planned for December 9, 2020," Awi told reporters, Friday, November 20.

Then, Kapolri said Awi, also ordered all its members to maintain neutrality. If later someone is proven to defend one of the candidate pairs (Paslon), then heavy sanctions will be given.

Finally, in his order, Idham highlighted the matter of securing Christmas and New Year (Nataru). This is one of the focuses because the COVID-19 epidemic is still happening in Indonesia.

Thus, safeguarding and preventing transmission is an important matter. "However, in the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, of course, the religious activities of our Christian friends who celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations are a priority for security by the Police," he said.

"Service activities because we are in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, the activities of providing social assistance assistance and the provision of masks and hand sanitizers are very helpful in preventing or breaking the spread of the COVID-19 chain," he continued ending.

The eight Kapolda who were officially appointed include:

- Inspector General Fadil Imran has served as Kapolda Metro Jaya replacing Inspector General Nana Sudjana.

- Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri served as West Java Police Chief replacing Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi

- Inspector General Putu Jayan Danu Putra Main Widyaiswara Sespim Lemdiklat Polri was appointed to a new position as Head of Bali Police.

- Inspector General Refdi Andri Koorsahli Kapolri was appointed to a new position as Kapolda Maluku.

- Inspector General Nico Afinta, Head of South Kalimantan Police, was appointed to a new position as Head of East Java Regional Police.

- Inspector General Rikwanto, Kapolda Malut was appointed to a new position as Kapolda Kalsel.

- Inspector General Risyapudin Nursin Kakorbinmas Baharkam Polri was appointed to a new position as Kapolda Malut.

- Inspector General Albertus Rachmad Wibowo Widyaiswara Main Police Tk. 1 The Sespim Lemdiklat Polri was appointed to the new position of Kapolda Jambi
