If It Is Proven, The DPRD Asks That An Official Of The Education Office Is Suspected Of Collecting Extortion From Honorary Teachers To Be Fired

JAKARTA - Member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ima Mahdiah, asked the DKI Provincial Government to investigate allegations of illegal levies carried out by unscrupulous Education Department officials to individual work contract teachers (KKI) or honorariums.

The extortion was carried out in exchange for the issuance of a decree (SK) on the appointment of a genuine but fake honorary teacher.

If proven, Ima emphasized that the DKI Education Office must fire the individuals involved. Because, cheating behavior like this is not justified.

"Disdik must clean up and the person must be fired. If not, then it will not be a deterrent. Because this is actually an old pattern, whoever wants to go up must pay first or deposit. Well, this is the person who should be fired," said Ima when contacted, Tuesday, August 23.

Even the action is called fulfilling the criminal element. Therefore, Ima supports that the ASN personnel in the regional work unit (SKPD) are criminally punished.

"For example, if there are indications of a crime, it must be punished. The education office, if you want to clean up, will be punished. In the direction of crime, it must be punished," he asserted.

Ima said Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD will summon the Head of the DKI Education Office, Nahdiana and the official suspected of being the person to ask for clarification regarding the alleged extortion from the honorary teacher.

"Later, I will convey to the leadership of Commission E to call the education office immediately. Because we also want to hear clarification from him. Like what happened yesterday, we will immediately call the intolerant teacher," he said.

Previously, Edu Watch Indonesia (EWI) revealed allegations that DKI Jakarta Education Agency officials were making illegal levies (extortion) on individual work contract teachers (KKI) or honorariums.

EWI Executive Director Annas Fitrah Akbar said the appointment letter (SK) to the honorary teacher who paid the extortion was genuine but fake (asphalt). In a sense, the contract recipient gets a decree but does not have a NIK KI by the ASN Disdik DKI.

Annas alleged that the person suspected of committing extortion was previously the Head of the PTK Sub-District Education Section of East Jakarta City I with the initials RW. This person also issued a decree for the appointment of honorary teachers.

Allegedly, the DKI Disdik official was attracting extortion of Rp. 5 million to Rp. 35 million per person. Based on the data that Annas received, there were 70 recipients of the decree who had to pay this extortion.

"The method is that a decree is allegedly given as asphalt because it is not accompanied by the provision of a NIK KI. This is clearly subject to Article 368 regarding Extortion and Article 263 in conjunction with 264 of the Criminal Code concerning Counterfeit Letters," said Annas.
